3 Axis brings your idea to life, using a combination of logic, imagination and determination. Given the nature of experience design and brand activation, our artists’ and craftsmen’s services are flexible. We’ve run point with specific components of a project, such as design and CNC machining services for other fabricators. And, we’ve taken projects from concept to installation. Whatever our role, you’ll work one-on-one with our team because ultimately your experience or architectural feature depends on all the parts working together for the whole.

DESIGN

Collaborating with our design team kicks off bringing your ideas to life within budget. Our studio houses several graphic and CAD workstations, SLA and FDM 3D printers, plus an electronics station. We use Solidworks to create most of our shop drawings. We use the 3D printers and CNC machine to create molds for casting parts.

REFINE & FABRICATE

The design and materials are refined down to the smallest detail. We custom fabricate components out of wood, metal, plastics and fiberglass in house, and can build exhibits in our own well-equipped shop that is outfitted with:

• A Biesse CNC router (It has a working envelope of 63” x 127” x 8”)
• Woodworking and metalworking tools
• An automotive down draft paint booth

DELIVER & INSTALL

Once out of our workshop, the elements of your exhibit or experience are prepared for delivery and installation. We lead or work with your team, using our knowledge of all the working components for a smooth setup and a spectacular end result.

The fewer involved, the easier an experience or architectural feature project flows. Rather than juggling multiple vendors, count on 3 Axis to use our industry connections to subcontract the services that aren’t in our wheelhouse. For example, we contract out direct print to substrate and mural printing. Services we provide through partners include, but are not limited to:

3 Axis Works Coast to Coast, Indoor and Out

The majority of our projects can be experienced in the Midwest, but we are a coast-to-coast experience design and brand activation firm. We have clients across the country from California to Connecticut, ranging from hospitals, retail establishments and corporate offices to children’s museums, art museums and science centers.

In addition to indoors experiences and architectural features, 3 Axis produces outdoor signage, exhibit panels and sculptures. Often times larger outdoor elements require a substantial concrete footing to be installed, so we hire structural engineers from the local jurisdiction to approve and stamp our designs.
